China Southern Airlines is asking passengers to go to the bathroom preflight to save fuel. Each flush of the toilet supposedly costs them about 1/4 gallon of fuel. That 1/4 gallon translates to about 6 miles of travel. No reports as to whether the human gas they lose will affect fuel economy.
