We celebrated the Year of the Tiger Saturday night (New Year's Eve) with dinner at my parents apartment. As is the custom, my mom prepared a feast.

Saturday night we had ten total dishes. Pictured above is: smoked chicken, fresh loofah, lion's head meatballs (tiger's head?), shrimp, rice cakes, mini dumplings, whole fish, glutenous rice cakes. Not pictured were soy beans (maodou/edamame) and a fish ball soup.
