2006 US Air Guitar Championships at Bowery Ballroom

That's right, you're not reading a typo. There is an air guitar championship in the United States. Even more crazy is that there is a world championship too! After seeing the awesome documentary, Air Guitar Nation, I decided that I had to get tickets to last week's US Air Guitar Championships. It did not disappoint despite the fact that Billy Ocean, the winner from the New York region and the crowd favorite, didn't win. The results caused a minor controversy when the judges wanted to declare Ocean the winner despite him being 4th in points. Emceeing the event was the one and only Bjorn Turoque.
