We Love the Roomba

POST #    2171

The newest, and possibly best, addition to our house is iRobot's Roomba. Sure, Mortimer is great and Randolph is as well, but the Roomba is amazing. With the two cats, we need it even more than a normal apartment. All we have to do is press a button and our Roomba does all the cleaning we're too lazy to do! Unfortunately, the deal through Woot! a couple weeks ago was just for a cheaper version of the Roomba, but we still love it.

The big question for me is, what do I love more - the Roomba or the ice maker on my refrigerator. Such a tough decision.

Ooohhh, nice! My brother has one of those and it chased Jonas all over the place. Does it scare the kitties?

wow. that's amazing: vacuum cleaners that look like stereos.

Does it fall down the stairs? Do the cats chase it?

Yes, I always though with two cats in the house that Roomba might not work so well and would possibly freak the cats out... Does it work as well as a regular vacuum cleaner?

well, sometimes the cats like it. never when it's running though. when we do run it, they either look at it curiously or run away.

and no, it doesn't fall down the stairs because you can create a virtual wall for it.

My cats love watching the roomba, and the roomba does wonders for cat hair.

Tien, you don't need to set up a virtual wall for stairs, the roomba has stair sensors built in. It won't fall down stairs unless you forget to blow dust out of the sensors for a long time...which may or may not cause your roomba to start acting like a puppy with a broken leg. In any case roomba sent me a replacement in this hypothetical situation.
