McDonalds, the BQE, St. Stan's

Monday night, I took a leisurely walk home from work. If I didn't take any pictures, I probably would have been home in about 30-40 minutes, but it took me about 50 minutes because of pictures and a few stops on the way.

Time to consider which way to commute:
- Subway: 22 minute best
- Bike: 13 minute best
- Walk: 30-40 minutes

The summer will be too hot to walk, but in the spring, walking is a viable option. But riding a bike would be healthier.

As for "healthier", did you figure in NYC's toxic smog? You don't want to end up all fit and firm with a black lung now, do ya?

Biking may be aerobic exercise, but you'll burn more calories walking (assuming you walk faster than a snail). Biking may be more intense exercise, but you'd be walking for more than twice as long per day.

Biking is more fun, though.
