Hello Sudoku!
So I was catching up on my NY Times archives (you don't need a library when you have the piles I have) and read an article on Sudoku's origins in a paper from last summer. As an aside, people say there is no reason to keep these old papers as I'm reading "history" and not news, but there are some articles that don't really have a timeline associated with them.
So after reading the August article, and completing the accompanying game, I determined it's quite fun. While I forgot about Sudoku for the rest of the day, upon returning home I was told that there was a Sudoku widget for the Mac. I've already played a few games and waisted about two hours of my life. I can see myself sitting in front of my computer for many, many more hours to come.
Stupid addictive games and widget developers!!

i just discovered it a few weeks ago when i was at my parents house and my mom and brother introduced me. i think crack is probably less addictive. if my reading on the train diminshes, its all her fault.

i forgot to say that i think it's a little more addictive than snood.

i've been watching people play this for months on the subway and all of the undergrads in my last semester class were addicted to it (during the lecture). it almost makes me afraid to start playing it.

I've become addicted too after doing my first puzzle in january. It's easier to do than I thought and I now "borrow" the newspaper from friends and family so I can do the daily puzzle. If I find a Sudoku for Windows, that'll be the death of me (and my studies)!

erma - there's always web sudoku. sorry about ruining your studies. but now you don't need to get newsprint on your hands.

i introduced sudoku to my sisters, who love it. it gives me a headache though, i can only stare at a grid of numbers for so long. i should have told my older sister, as she gave me a big book of sudoku for my birthday.

An August newspaper?!?! Holy Crap!
I thought it was bad when I had two weekends worth of the LA Times on my coffee table.
As for Sudoku, I have it on my Treo 650, which has occasionally helped me kill 15-20 minutes at work waiting for the day to end... But only occasionally.

Sudoku puzzles are impossible to solve.
I know, because I've tried, twice.

Tien, what is snood? I am hopelessly out of the loop when it comes to snood.
