Hey Look, It's Mortimer on the Red Couch Again

POST #    1890

I swear, how many photos of Mort on the couch have I put up here. Good god. And how many more have I taken?? I don't even want to think about it. I think I need a better hobby. He might actually like that couch more than beating me to bed and laying on my pillow, which he did the other night. I had to casually turn the pillow sideways so I could lay down on another one. He was quite confused.

But the strangest behavior Mort has, not that having a favorite couch is strange, is how he prances around the bed. You're lying there, either sleeping or trying to go to sleep and he jumps onto the bed, strolls over to your face and pseudo-scratches the area around your face. There's no way you can go to bed or stay asleep when he does that. I wonder if that's common with other cats, or if that's a unique Mortimer trait.

No, other cats do it too, every one I've had since I was a child did that. I usually ended up just kicking them out of my room when I went to sleep.

Also, I think I've said this before, but it bears repeating: I want your cat. :D

My cats do it, but it doesn't bother me that much. When I'm sleeping on my back, occasionally one of the cats will climb on my chest and "make biscuits" on my neck. It's a great feelin to wake up to your cat pawing your throat.
