Osem Sesame Coated Pretzel Rings

POST #    1725

Since I love sesame seeds, when I saw a bag of sesame pretzels in the supermarket I thought to myself, "could this be the greatest invention ever?!?" Not quite. While the Osem Pretzels are good, they lack the crunch of your typical pretzel. They have a consistency similar to that of a cracker if that makes any sense. The sesame is a nice and tasty touch though.

Another problem is that they aren't salty enough. So note to those Osem people: while your product might be perfectly Parve and certified by the Orthodox Union, it could be tastier with a little salt and crunch.

Also, what's with the OU Chinese site?

I was fully expecting these rings o' joy to be sweet and was 100% disappointed when they tasted like crackers. Thumbs down.

Simply untrue!! These are one of the greatest snacks the world has ever known!

One of the keys to full pretzel enjoyment is to eat them with a cold glass of orange juice. I don't know why -- maybe it's a repressed kindegarten memory -- but the sweet tangy orange and the dry salty pretzel make beautiful synergy.

I've bought Beigel & Beigel sesame rings at Economy Candy in the LES, and found them to be uber-tasty. Lots of sesame seeds and a sufficient amount of salt.

those look like they are trying to be like the things my grandma used to make - her's weren't really sesame pretzels, though. If anything, they were the consistency of light breadsticks, but in little rings with sesame seeds on them. We called them bagelach. Mmmm, those were the best.

You should try to find the Beigel & Beigel brand of Israeli, Kosher sesame coated pretzels. They are divine.

I bought The Osem sesame coated pretzel rings in New Jersey. I want to know where I can buy them in Texas.
