When Did This Happen?
Wow, when did this feature pop into Movabletype? Admittedly, I'm usually using Safari at home and not doing much personal blog stuff at work, but could it be the combination of Firefox and MT 3.14? I just checked out a MT 3.11 install, so it must be 3.14.
That said, I don't usually use any of the buttons I did see. I might use the blockquote and the upload file though.

I can't find anything in the changelog, but I did notice something similar when I started using Firefox as well.
Safari unfortunately doesn't support the "rich text" style edit fields. Maybe in 2.0.

Typepad/safari only has insert photo and insert file buttons. They added more buttons (lists, spell check) recently that can be used via netscape, firefox and IE.
