The New Desk

POST #    1426

Sometime last week, my parents got me a new desk from IKEA. When I went in September, they said they were out of the desk, the Gustav, in the black/brown color and said they would mail me a postcard when they got it in. Needless to say, I never got a postcard. Damn IKEA. For an IKEA product, this desk is actually pretty sturdy and damn heavy. Lifting and assembling it by myself was no easy task. Assembly also required a screwdriver and hammer. What happened to the days when you would get a hex key?!? Clearly, this isn't the IKEA I know.

I really like how the color of the desk goes with my computer keyboard. All I need now is some fancier white speakers. Hmm...Oh, and IKEA is still a pain in the ass. I think I'm missing one screw, but I think I can live without it.

I really liked that desk-- it doesn't even look IKEA-ish.
