Ladies and Gents, Meet Mortimer
Down in Virginia, Shannan has acquired a cat. While I'm semi-allergic to cats, I can't wait to spend some time with Mortimer and his owner. I don't know anything about cats, but I've been told that Mortimer is an abyssinian and is less likely to cause allergies. I guess I'll eventually find out.
Oh, and if you're wondering where the name came from, I came up with it. After Mortimer Duke from Trading Places. And his shirt says "fleadom fighter". And yes, he is already a spoiled cat.

I see you have neglected to feature Mortimer's girlfriend on your site. She even has her very own t-shirt! That's ok though...she doesnt look nearly as good in hers as Morty does in his.

btw, yvan is deathly allergic to cats as well, but i think you can start to get more resistant. i had a roommate with 2 cats, and in the beginning, yvan would be a mucus-y mess when he came over. but after a while, he stopped being so sensitive. just keep rubbing your face in the cat's fur. (kidding!)

tien: there is hope for your allergies! I will start collecting all of mort's fur-balls and the next time i visit, i will start leaving them in your bed, in the corners of your apt, and around your computer. eventually you will become de-allergized!
halo: i dont think that randolph will be coming anytime soon. originally there were talks about getting a um.. mature dog, for reasons of a shorter commitment and responsibility...but i have shown defeat to that concept by adopting mortimer. plus there's a lot of time and energy spent protecting my icecream from his sweet tooth.

After a while your allergies will go away. At least mine did when I had Kitty.
I so want a cat here but my roomies aren't too thrilled with the idea...

well, i'm not deathly allergic. once i cat-sat my cousin's cat and sometimes my eyes would be really, really itchy. other times, i would be fine.
and morty's hair balls would go well with my dust bunnies.

living with cats doesnt de-allergize you. i lived with cats for about 3-4 years (2 years in a studio apt!) and was just as allergic in the end as in the beginning. i had to take allergy meds so i wouldnt have allergy-induced asthma attacks.

Tien, if your eyes start to itch, just start rubbing them constantly - that always does the trick!
