Sunday at Michigan

POST #    1315

It seems like a lot have things have changed in Ann Arbor since I last walked around. I know that there have been renovations (damn alumni emails), but I had yet to see any of them. The law quad remains unchanged, but Haven Hall was updated, as were the computers in the computing center. They are even dual monitor G5 towers. I too have a G5, but not dual monitors. Those kids at Michigan are living it up! Somehow though, my uniquename still worked from my college days. I even deleted some 3000+ emails.

Something that has not changed is Krazy Jim's Blimpy Burger. Still delicious, still greasy, and still handing out new $2 bills. It's no longer cheaper than food. I had a quad with swiss and bacon. Yum!!

It should be noted that the sky on Sunday really was as blue as they are in the photos. Except for #1 which seemed to lose it's blue-ness when I saved for web.

Funny how things change in a short period of time. I'm actually taking a trip up to my alma mater this weekend-- they've been building like a mofo up there, too.

They hand out $2 bills??

they always have plenty of $2 bills, 50 cent pieces, and before it was common, $1 coins. always, without fail. it's cool and somewhat annoying.

I've stood on that M! There was a guy who owned a bookstore in Bowling Green who did the $2bill/$coin thing. While that was slightly annoying, what was really irritating was that every other business downtown would then say "Oh, you've been to Pauper's" when you tried to pay with the odd coinage.

Did you bookmark your site on all the G5's?

i think a lot of people have stood on the M. well, a lot of graduates. the superstition is that you can't step on the M until you've taken your first blue book exam. some even avoid it after that. we even saw this in action when some freshmen came down side by side, split up, and came together again on the other side. as if there were a tree there.

and no, didn't bookmark. i think the settings get reset every time you log off.

Your college computer account was still active, wow! They delete ours after every semester, and then we have to renew it.

well, the account was active on macs. my friends tried to log onto the pcs and that didn't work.

We have had beautiful days in AA. Alas the sky is a chilly grey today. I have a friend who uses $2 bills and Susan B. Anthony coins all the time. I thought it was because he is a touch eccentric but now I know...he also loves Blimpy’s!

Did you hit Red Hot Lovers?
