Fire on Norfolk's East Little Creek Road

POST #    1206

Yesterday, Shannan and I drove past a thrift store and discount furniture store on East Little Creek Road in Norfolk and spotted some smoke. There were people outside and as we passed, black smoke was coming out the doors. After grabbing some food, we drove back and there was a fire that closed the road and seemed to be taking the building down.

Local news channel, WVEC reports that the store - Thrift Store USA - could not be saved, but the veterinarians office next door could. They also report that the roof collapsed after just ten minutes.

That thrift store is maybe a little more than 5 miles from my apartment as I live just at the end of West Little Creek. Little Creek is a big road, for roads around here anyway, for them to shut down.

actually, they just redirected traffic around it. so not shutting down the whole thing, but the part in front of the store.
