Record Turnout, Not Close to Record Numbers

17 people turned out for the weekly tradition, but only 160 wings were eaten. Of that 160, 20 were BBQ wings. I didn't have a single one, but I dipped my finger into the sauce and it was mighty sweet. The only problem with 17 was that I only told the hostess that 8 people were coming. Whoops! Hopefully there will be a better head count next time. People, people, e-mail, phone, IM...I'm always available.
Jake, who has quickly become the photographer for wing night. Unfortunately, he'll be out of town for quite a while due to his wedding.
And the blue and yellow - not a tribute to Michigan's maize and blue. Over the weekend, I will be reading Rammer Jammer Yellow Hammer, which has nothing to do with Michigan (but does have yellow in the title). I also had a nice talk with Warren St. John, the author.

provided it's not raining, we sit outside. so only once did we sit inside. i think that was the first official night of wings.
last night, we sat under the covered outside area though for the first time.

That was super fun, but I was still hungry afterwards. We could have broken the wings record yet!

Another great Wing Night, Tien. You bums who didn't go to karaoke missed out!

karaoke at croxleys?
Posted by: rachelle at August 5, 2004 10:36 AM
No -- karaoke was at Sing Sing, on Ave A around 5th St.
Posted by: Laren at August 5, 2004 10:47 AM
That's only 9.4 wings/person. Unacceptable. If the same number of people show up next week we'll only have to bump that up to 12/person to break the record.
