Tasty Chinese Pastries

Friday was someone's last day at work, so in lieu of cake, some pastries from Chinatown in Flushing were picked up. So they weren't quite that tasty (I've never really liked Chinese cake pastries), but look at them! At least they look cool. I mean, they have eyes! EYES!!

you want some good pastry's? try fortunato Bros. on Manhattan ave. & Devoe. The best in all of NY. seriously--try it. tomorrow.

The best Chinese pastries are the ones that come at dim sum - egg custards, maybe a polo bao... Chinese dessert wise, it's slim pickings, though I love the sweet soups like cold green lentil (or other bean) soup with sticky rice or red bean soup.
