Man, I Can't Keep Calling These Successful...

POST #    1185

Because the title would be too repetitive. Eventually, we're bound to have a subdued wing night, but last night wasn't it. 13 people in all showed up, with 140 wings eaten. Not bad, not bad at all. I feel like I had a lot, but I can't remember because the busboys were clearing the plates so quickly.

I really hope that I have a Wednesday some time soon that doesn't require a goodbye party. I want me some cheap beer and wings.

laren, every wednesday, 7 pm. i know what you look like, you presumably know what i look like. i think we're set.

Posted by: tien at July 29, 2004 1:58 PM

so do the croxley employees know you by name yet? or have they designated a mao weekly hot wing eating contest?

Posted by: shannan at July 29, 2004 3:35 PM

No Shanman, they just know us as the obnoxious and demanding group. They LOVE us, not really so much. Last week they sent the trainee to us and she spelt the beer. She got a great pity tip.

See Shannan you must come back to regulate these things. We are floundering and lost without your direction.

Tien: You just got recognized ON THE STREET! From your BLOG. You are big time, man. Big time. I wonder who Fubabee was.

Posted by: Adam at July 29, 2004 4:53 PM

i think it was jake that got recognized - with his gothamist tshirt and everything. how can someone recognize me? i thought all asian people looked alike.

and the hostess said something like "how's it going to me," but someone else said they said that to them also. i'm convinced there is some recognition stuff going on though.

something you may be interested in... the national wing festival http://www.buffalowing.com/index2.html (if you're in the mood for a roadtrip). also... if you do end up making it to buffalo... the 2 best wing places are the anchor bar (the place where they were invented) http://www.anchorbar.com and duff's. you can usually get 2 buffalonians into a heated debate on which place is better, i fall into the half that go for duff's.
