This is Why Traditions Are Good

POST #    1157

Christiona and Jeannette, composite photo.

Bubble blowing contests and bets to see who would drink wing juice - that's why coming Wednesdays to Croxley Ales is a good idea. I mean, the wings are 10 freaking cents. Why wouldn't you come?

The weather was a tad crappy last night, and I was the first person to show up. I waited and waited, but Joe finally showed up, and I knew Halo was coming, so that got us a table. Christiona showed up the same time as Halo and Jeannette and Eleanor came a bit later. I was very worried that it would be a bust at first, but turnout was pretty good and hopefully it can last. Get tired of wings, you ask? At 10¢, I refuse to get tired of them.

Next week, same time, same place. Mental note though, find out who is coming beforehand so you can tell the waitress how many people are in the party.

next week i'll be there - the weather was just such a downer yesterday, and we were still reeling from the terrible service last week!

i'm going to try and go next week. ditto on the weather. it made me really sleepy. not even curly fries, paid by tien, could wake me.

hmm...i guess the weather was kind of bad, but it still turned out to be a fun night. the highlight (besides the food) was the bubble gum fun.

the good thing about attempting to make this a tradition is that there will be another trip next week! i think the goal should be so that the employees start to recognize us.

After last week's successful goal of eating 2,000 wings to fill my hollow leg, I think I kind of OD'd on wings. But I'm quite sure I'll be in full recovery and back for more next week.

christinis, another beautiful thing about croxley's is that they have other food too.

tien- but to come to croxley's for anything but wings would be blasphemy!

Sounded like a good time... too good. Are you sure it wasn't more like this? ;)

Hmmmm, yeah baby, I am one hot hottie - I hear the phone ringing now. That was my biggest bubble, I had major size envy.

chris, whether or not this continues through september depends on the interest of others.

jzak - when i get tired of wings (that might be soon if i eat them every week), i'll be sure to order the skins.

christiona - i still respect you even though your bubbles are tiny.

i'm looking forward to exploring the rest of their menu as well. ;)
