Defalcation ≠ Defecation

Did anywone else get Merriam-Webster's word of the day and think, "Defecation is the word of the day?!?" Because that's what I thought. But apparently, it was "defalcation" and not "defecation". As you can see, the two are not close at all. Whoops!

Haha! I totally read that right. I've been quite familiar with that word, for well over 10 years. I found out about it that time that my co-worker stole close to half a million dollars from the bank we were working at. Everyone thought I was making the word up!

Hmm... let me try it out.
My defalcation (meaning no. 2) was when I participated in defecation of my pants!?
Did I do that right? ;)
