Slice Pizza Club at Sac's

POST #    1038

Yesterday was Slice's 3rd Pizza Club meeing which was at Sac's Pizza Place in Astoria. Christina, Shannan, and I met up with Adam and Janelle for some fine eating.

Sac's says they use the finest ingredients, including fresh mozzarella, and that they say they load up on the toppings if you get them. Of course, they also have a coal oven to cook their pizza. I enjoyed their pizza, but I liked our pepperoni and mushroom pie substantially more than the plain pie. The sauce was had some spice to it which was unique; their cheese was fresh, but a bit plentiful on the plain pie; the crust was thick yet light. Their plain pie was nothing special though. Just very plain, for lack of a better word.

The last trip with the Slice Pizza Club brought us to Coney Island and Totonno's.

mmmm.... me too. drool drool. but not from there I dont think. I was very disappointed by the plain... all my cheese fell off when the guy served me, so I was just eating bread and sauce. Lots of sauce. But that first pizza was mighty tasty! sigh. I love pizza.
