Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden

POST #    1037

After the trip to Sac's, the whole group decided to get some drinks at the Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden, aka the Astoria Beer Garden. It was the perfect day to go - too hot in the sun, but nice and cool in the shade and especially so with a beer in hand. We ended up spending a whopping five hours there drinking and eventually eating too. By the time we left, every table was full of people enjoying themselves.

The Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden was established in 1910 by the immigrants of Bohemia. It serves as a cultural center for members of the community so they don't loose touch with their Bohemian roots. Their menus said that in Bohemia, "crowds went to see and be seem in beer gardens and relax under the shade of fragrant linden trees." Exactly what we were looking to do.
