Food Diary - Day Seven, 4.7.04

POST #    925

Yesterday was the final day of my food diary. Mini-Ritz with cheese, Ferrero Rocher chocolates, Blimpie's for lunch including half a bag of chips and half a Sierra Mist. After a late afternoon snack of roasted peas, dinner was some instant noodles, Chinese leftovers and leftover pizza.

With the food I eat, I'm surprised I'm still walking. Normally, I would eat better because I'm virtually living at home, but my mom is away, leaving my dad and I to scrounge around. When I move, perhaps I can cook for myself or eat cereal every night. Healthy, right?

Besides learning that I'm incredibly unhealthy (wait, I knew that), I learned that it's very hard to take pictures of everything you eat or drink. You have to endure countless questions from the people you work with, get comments from waiters, and get strange looks from strangers.

Hey, there's nothing wrong with eating cereal for dinner several times a week!

I did that all through college :P

Like Corie's coffee man, breakfast for dinner is something NYers should learn to embrace. Pancakes for din-din every once in a while make my day slapstick subway day a little less aggravating.

yet again, the wormy texture of those noodles...!!!!

i had microwave popcorn for breakfast this morning.

Mmm...roasted peas. I like the wasabi ones. They're wasabi-licious!

I could eat popcorn for every meal.

I hope you mean hot-air popped corn and not the microwaved, plastic-tasting shite. That stuff, no offence, el, is just horrible. Gimme the good stuff.

you and your dad should learn how to cook. lazy guys! i dont really feel bad for you.

well, what i was saying is that i plan on eating cereal for dinner now or when i move. and i too love popcorn. nothing like a bag of popcorn for a meal. i've done it before too.

the roasted peas i had didn't have wasabi, sadly. plus i might have been wasabied out from the other night.

speaking of wasabi, any restaurants in town serve really great wasabi mashed potatoes? i had some in poland. i want more.
