More Swag! When Will it Ever Stop?!?

POST #    824

Woo! Last night, I got The Photoshop Book for Digital Photographers, a gift from Rachelle. Thanks a lot. This is like the umpteenth gift that I've gotten off my Amazon wish list. It's such a great feature!

Hopefully, with this book, I can gain some of the photoshop touch-up skills that Rachelle clearly has. She has the ability to take the exact same photo and make it at least two times better. Now, I can cut that to at least 1.5 times better.

Thanks, Rachelle!

Funny, my pops just sent me a pshop book, as well. I wish I took to manuals better, though I've resolved to hedge through this one. It just needs to be placed on the nightly lineup of books I need to poke around in.

yeah, i now have a few books i have to read. and i'm a notoriously bad book reader. i just never get around to them.

and it's clear that i didn't use any of the book's tips on the photo here. yikes!

yea...you clearly didnt correct the levels, fix the curvature, modify the hue and saturation, and any number of other things only pretentious know-it-alls like to point out in comments.

i was also in a hurry. but i did a couple of things. i think it might have looked better before i changed anything. oops.

dude, you're such a ps whore.

i so need that book. though maybe i should read the photoshop book i already have first. or since i don't think i've opened it more than once, i could return it and buy that one. hmm.

im glad you like it. i love that book. it's really quick and simple. whatever is wrong with your photo, you just look it up in the book and and in a few easy steps it's fixed.. so not pretentious

yes, thanks again rachelle.

The book seems very nice.
I've got the book "Photoshop 7 The WOW Book" for 2 months but have no time to read it :(

Would the photoshop book work for us amateurs who have ps elements? Is it mainly just recipes that apply to particular ps commands, or does it have more general, conceptual information?

Posted by: joe s at March 12, 2004 10:17 AM

it's not so much conceptual as much as it is a guide on how to fix problems.
