Kitchen Design and Layout

POST #    815

Looks like the design for my kitchen is pretty much set. 36" wood cabinets with glass panels and stainless steel appliances. From the layout, you can see that the kitchen isn't that big, but it will have a lot more counter space than my kitchen in my old apartment. And it will just be that much nicer. All I need to do now is order those appliances.

i am so jealous that it hurts.

i think the pain and the such would go away if you saw the pricetag. i hope it will turn out great though.

Didn't you once say you never cook? Do you think you'll start cooking more once you have the nice kitchen?

Posted by: joe s at March 5, 2004 3:42 PM

if you don't start cooking, can i come over and play in your kitchen?

Posted by: corie at March 5, 2004 4:23 PM

well, i may not cook, but i have more room to if i do. perhaps i'll start doing some stuff.

and yes, corie, you can play in my kitchen as long as i get to try whatever is cooked.

cool beans! you need a kitchen island. is that in the floorplan?

Posted by: corie at March 5, 2004 4:47 PM

nope, no island. the kitchen isn't big enough to fit one. oh well. but otherwise, it should be nice.

once the cabinets are installed, you can recoup some of the cost by renting them out as 'junior 1-bedroom' apartments to wayward east villagers.

I'm horribly jealous as well. I have so little counter space. Well, it's okay, it's just covered in stuff.

I'm getting you cookie sheets as a kitchenwarming gift.

jimmy, that's a great idea!

jen, that would be great. especially since they don't seem to come with ovens. oops.

happy birthday!

your kitchen is about the same size as mine but yours makes better use of space with the range hood/microwave.
