Miscellaneous Apartment Stuff

Bathroom faucets
Today, I went to pick out some more stuff for my apartment. I looked at everything from my kitchen cabinets and countertops (again) to the faucets in the bathrooms. There are some color changes in the countertop, but I didn't take any pictures because my battery was shot. It's either going to be a dark green (you can barely tell it's green) or a dark grey with some hints of red in it. Both are hard to explain, but look nice. The faucets and bathroom sinks are all from Kohler. I was originally going to go with brushed chrome for the faucets and fixtures, but polished chrome was substantially cheaper, so I'm going with those. The sinks in the bathrooms are white and the kitchen sink is stainless steel.
Previously on the apartment:
- apartment closing
- revisiting counter options and tile options
- mortgage approval
- kitchen cabinet design
- contract and mortgage
- appliance shopping
- floor and counter ideas
- the apartment
- the floorplan

Kohler: Nice choice, Tien. Sheboyganbratwurst and faucets.
Hey rachelleb: You're from Wisconsin? Neat. I was born there and still have lots of family in Milwaukee. Beer and cheesecould there be a better state?

were you born in sheboygan? i grew up in new london and then moved to kaukauna, little chute and appleton. my brother & best friend live in suburbs of milwaukee now. my parents still live in new london.

Tien: Sorry to use your comments to reply to Rachelleb.
Rachelleb: I was born in Menomonie Falls, lived in Milwaukee until I was 2 or 3, then moved all around the country. I go to Milwaukee about once a year to visit relatives and generally get sucked into the bingo hall at Potawotamie Casino.

and if you want the complete story, i was born in FL, grew up in WI, moved to CA then moved to NYC, now moving to Chicago

Thanks! I get a neverending stream of West Elm catalogs but didn't realize they had a store. Some of their stuff looks nice, but now I've got a chance to take a look before buying AND buy hot chocolate.
BTW, you should never pour an entire mug of scalding hot chocolate on your hand -- it hurts! not that I did that last night or anything...

hey - let me know when you go to west elm. i also want in on the JT hot chocolate action (that is, if you're getting any).
Posted by: jeannette at February 3, 2004 9:58 AM
yeah, furniture and hot chocolate!
Posted by: el at February 3, 2004 10:40 AM
can we at least add pizza or bubby's before that?
Posted by: tien at February 3, 2004 10:48 AM
Rachelleb: My spelling's probably all wack. I was born in Menomonee Falls, but almost in the back of a VW Beetle on some back road. Tien: You can hit up Grimaldi's while you're in the West Elm neighborhood.
Posted by: Adam at February 3, 2004 11:51 AM
i do love me some grimaldi's, so i might have to go. eat a whole pie by myself. mmm...overindulgence.
