Housekeeping

POST #    691

Back by popular demand, my Netflix queue. Well, maybe not popular demand, but it's back. I previously installed it back in September, but I removed it because I was having some issues with it. Thanks again to Oscar for developing the Netflix Suite. Hopefully, I won't have too many problems with it this time around.

I finally put up my photos from my trip to the Getty Center on ofoto. Take a look at the photos here, or just check out the original post.

Ooh, The Ice Storm is a great movie! Look forward to it.

yeah, i never did see the ice storm. it's one of many great movies i haven't seen. but i also have plenty of bad movies on my list, because who wants to pay for a bad movie? just don't think less of me because i have movies like s.w.a.t., american wedding, etc, etc, on my list.

It's Netflix's QM department that causes all the trouble Tien! They keep improving the website, and then I have to rewrite the plugins. But you just let me know the first time they act up.

I haven't put my own Netflix queue on my site because I'm such a lousy Netflix consumer. I even watched About Schmidt, but I have been too lazy to get the disc out to the mailbox to send it back ... the queue hasn't moved for two months ... doesn't exactly spice up my site!

stupid netflix, updating their site. who do they think they are?!?

oscar, that's pretty lazy. it's not really that hard to mail something back when it has a postage paid envelope!

do i really want to know that you are that lazy if i'm to go flying with you? and i'm open to doing that any weekend this month if it works for you.

Woohoo! Now we are continually up to date on what Tien is watching. Thank goodness this feature returned.

Interview with the Vampire - very good, IMO.

American Wedding - not very good, IMO

I did the netflix thing for a while. It was great for about a month. Then I ran into a 5 week period where I had no time for movies, and I realized that I had just spent $20 for the priviledge of having three movies sit in my living room (well, nearly $40 actually), so I sent em back unwatched and cancelled ASAP.

i've always said, netflix is like a gym membership. fortunately for me, netflix suits my lazy lifestyle so i make pretty good use of it. i did not, however, make good use of the gym.
