Chillin...Chillin Indoors
***The title of the post is much better if you could hear me say it, but since you can't hear me say it, it's lost on you, the reader.***
To avoid the bitter cold, I decided not to venture out today, except for one small trip to get something to eat. During that trip, I couldn't feel my face after 5 minutes of exposure to temperatures in the teens.
Thankfully, I'm signed up for a service like Netflix. So far, I've watched S.W.A.T. and The Order, two rather blah movies, but it's better than being outside. There was also football on this afternoon and a game on tonight, which also serve as a way to avoid the weather.
Interestingly enough, S.W.A.T. was directed by Clark Johnson, who played Meldrick on the TV show Homicide. I only learned of this by watching the extra features on the DVD.

Whatever happened to your Netflix feature on the right side of the page? Now how ever will we know what you're watching without asking?

I actually ventured out yesterday (2 movies and a concert) but I would sort of sprint from location to location. It was pretty easy to get a cab late at night; I wonder if a lot of people stayed in.

I was out walking around much of the day and it was really quiet. Except for hockey in Lasker rink and waterfowl in Harlem Meer, I had the top of Central Park to myself. It was busier downtown, too, but not as busy as usual.

jen and joe, you two are brave souls. two movies and a concert? joe, walking around in the park. brr.
corie, i guess i could have recorded it, but that would require effort, lots of effort.

It's almost mid January - I need to make sure I stay on pace for the year - I'd like to hit 70 movies. And it's all about the layering. The first movie I saw with Jake's twin sister Molly, who came wearing two pairs of pants. and Jake's fiance, who was wearing the cutest coat that made her look like a very chic Eskimo.
And I agree about taping - sometimes, it's not worth the effort.
