Bad Things in Cold Weather

POST #    620

1. It's bad when you ride in a car that has no heat because it was just in the shop for repairs but the parts are on order. At least the car had seat heaters.

2. It's bad when you exit said car and enter an office that also has no heat, where it actually feels colder than it does outside. When you even wear your glomits and type with a pen, PDA style. Sadly, no seat heater to be found in office chair.

i'm actually using two pens now (actually, one pen, one sharpie) to type. it's really much faster, but i'm much more prone to mistakes now. on the plus side, i can now use ctrl and shift. i feel like daniel day lewis in "my left foot" or something.

No heat at work? Sounds like my kind of office!

on the plus side, they are letting us "work" in the other office building. ha, like i'll get any work done.

our office supposedly has heat but they turn it off for the weekend and dont turn it back on until monday morning. it's freezing in here.

they do the same thing here. i don't know why they turn it off completely. why can't they just turn it down to like 60 or something.

because they're cheap bastards!

Thanks for the sharpie tip and pen tip.. I was just letting lots of typos occur.

Don't you think seat heaters make you feel like you've just wet your pants in the seat? No? Just me, I guess.

P.S. That's funny, Justin - I'm with ya.

now we have space heaters going, so it's a little better. but this isn't getting fixed until tomorrow.

jess, i am now working with out the glomits. but i can't really feel my right hand since it's my mouse hand. the left hand can go to the pocket at times, which is nice.

oscar, i think the wetness may be the ass sweat. it's a sure sign of when to turn down the heat. maybe that's just me though.

um. ew.

jess & danielle & i went in teh conference room, shut both doors, and cranked the heat up to 90 until we could take our jackets and things off.. then came back to our desks.

for a sentence that started out with "jess & danielle & i went in the conference room, shut both doors, and," that one really tailed off. depressing.

hrm. .even though i said we took our jackets & things off?

Posted by: rachelleb at December 8, 2003 4:41 PM

it helps. depends mostly on what the definition of "things" is.
