Woo!! Snow!!

POST #    611

With all this snow enough snow on the ground, I am able to partake in one of my favorite winter pastimes. No, not skiing, that is my favorite. But with the snow that we now have in New York City, I can run for a few feet then stop and slide for a few more feet. Hmm, if I were reading that, it would make little sense. Essentially, I run for like 10 feet, then do a small hop and plant both feet and then, because of the snow, I can then slide for about 5 feet. It's great! It can be dangerous on uneven sidewalks though so streets might work better.

It should be noted that any injuries that might occur do to this post are not my problem.

rachelle -- do what any improper (or perhaps proper from a different point of view) American would do and sue whoever owns the building the you fell in front of seeking compensation for emotional distress.

Though I don't mean to poke fun at your embarassment, for I too have taken spills in front of crowds. Try this one on for size:

Sixth grade, it was either Veteran's Day or Flag Day or something because we had the entire grammar school outside to do the pledge on the hillside next to the flagpole. Apparently I didn't have enough sugar to eat that morning, though I don't ever remember having that problem before since breakfast back then was likely a bowl of Lucky Charms and some OJ. Suddenly everything was a little hazy, slightly blurry, and then I was tumbling down the hill bowling over other students on my way down. The nurse said my blood sugar was a little too low and I had a little hypoglycemic episode, i.e. blacked out. Far as I know it's never happened again, so of course it had to happen that day instead of some day where I'd just have been sitting at my desk.
