I Might Need to Dress-Up More
I'm a pretty casual guy when it comes to many things, including the way I dress. The "dress code" in my office is pretty casual, so I take advantage of it, wearing sneakers all the time. But might I be too casual if people ask me what I'm doing if I'm wearing business casual clothes? Granted, my co-workers know that I don't get dressy unless I have a reason to dress-up, so their questions are warranted, but maybe I should just start dressing more professionally.
On the other hand, my laziness and desire for comfort will probably win out in the long run. I mean, who wants to iron every night and wear shoes every day if they don't have to? I guess some people like doing that, but right now, I'm just going to stick with my casual dress unless I change jobs or I need to dress nice for something. Laziness and comfort prevail! Nothing like a train of thought ending after about a minute.
Now what about that haircut? Nah, laziness prevails again!

I practically had to be hospitalized on the burn unit last time I wielded an iron (about twenty years ago), so I don't recommend any such thing. I use the dry cleaner now - it's cheaper than skin grafts ...

For the record, I agree with Tien's dress code philosophy!

The problem with being too casual is that if you ever have something come up (like, say a lunchtime job interview), people get very suspicious if you're wearing an ironed shirt with buttons all the way down.
Sure, you can tell them it's a funeral, but then you have to limit yourself to subdued duds.

oscar, adam, you both bring up good points. maybe i'll mix some business casual in with my normal attire, but will only wear ironed or dry cleaned shirts when i have important after work functions or interviews. otherwise, i'll just wear wrinkled shirts. if they catch onto this pattern, then i might have to wear ironed or dry-cleaned shirts all the time. but i suspect that if i were just to say i have nothing to do a few times, they would just stop asking.
