Close, But No Cigar

POST #    592

Yesterday, Rachelle passed along this article from The New Yorker about a man who is about 1.5 years behind his NY Times reading. He tries to find two and a half hours each day to read the paper, and he seems to be reading the oldest papers first. The subject of the article keeps getting pushed back by his work schedule, where I just never make the time to read the papers on the weekends. Something always seems to come up. Anyone that saw my old apartment knows that I was working my way to his pile, but I had to throw out my papers when I moved. I did find a use for the papers though.

The beauty of that guy was that he'll actually shut the radio or TV off if he thinks that a report might give away part of a news story from way back that he's just started reading...
