Notary Gone Wild

POST #    578

About a month ago, I was told that I passed the test to become a Notary Public - quite a shocker since I thought I failed the test. As of October 27th, I was a licensed notary. Today, I have my stamp and am stamping like crazy. I notarized a few things before getting the stamp, but writing "Notary Public - State of New York, Certified in New York County, My Commission expires Oct. 27, 2007," my name and license number was kind of tiring, so things are much better now. By the end of the day, I will have notarized about 16 items. Craziness. Good thing I like the sound of my stamp.

If anyone needs my services (wink, wink), let me know.

Yeah, but where's that embosser? Is that one of those presents you're angling for?

yeah, that might be some extra money and more work for me. doesn't suit my laziness.

but i did hear that the stamp only lasts on documents for like 10 years or something, where the embosser lasts much longer, like 75 or so. so for corporate documents, the embosser could be useful.
