$6.25 for soup?!?

POST #    420

while in lower manhattan for a notary test, i stopped in at daily soup, which is essentially a gourmet soup establishment. since soup is always tasty, i decided to get a cup. i ordered up the chicken pot pie soup, which was a whopping $6.25 for 16 oz. why didn't i just get the small order? because i'm a big proponent of getting more if the cost difference is minimal. the soup was pretty good, but i don't know if it was $6.25 good. there was a crust-like thing that they put on top to make it like actual chicken pot pie, which made it a little more worthwhile. i guess the joke is on me though, since i bought the soup. at least i supported the lower manhattan economy.

i paid an equally astounding amount at hale & hearty soup in midtown. but i don't think i was supporting anything or anywhere of value, really. i should have skipped the soup and just gotten a bigger tasti-d-lite rice pudding ice cream.

soup=liquid. ice cream=liquid. price for hale & hearty liquid > price for tasti-d-lite ice cream. seems like a no brainer to me.

you lost me at the second equals sign.
i think cal's addicted to your nasty little rsvp game too. you're nothing but a bad influence. how is she going to fight crime or defend the wealthy or whatever she'll do if you make her play these addictive computer games?!
is it bad to comment on a contending post? i'm probably messing up your whole site! sorry.
