mother nature? pssh, like i fear you.

POST #    397

so you dumped a little water on us today and some people got really really wet, but you cleared it up for a great night of baseball. the mets won 1-0 (i know! they actually won.) with al leiter getting a complete game shutout. it was a great game. fun to be back at the ballpark. feel free to read the recap here.

and tomorrow is going to be a great day too. nothing like great weather for a dave matthews band concert in central park.

i'm still a bitter about the "little water" that was dumped on my head and poured over my body this morning while walking to work, even if it did clear up by late afternoon. hopefully tomorrow will be nice. i think everyone i know, myself included, has ticket to see dmb in the park.

yeah, the some people was a reference to you and eleanor.

do you think they will adhere to the no cameras restriction on the ticket?

Posted by: tien at September 24, 2003 6:41 AM

i forgot about that. hmm. i dont know how they're going to thoroughly check 100,000 people for cameras and cell phones. oh. wait. i was thinkign of something else. a comedy central presents ticket i have says no cell phones even. does it say on the tickets "no cameras"? my friend dennis has my ticket. i will probably bring my camera anyway. there's NO WAY they can properly screen 100,000 people. i'm still confused about how they're going to close the park for the day for the people with no ticket.

i think they were saying like 80,000 people. and ny1 said that the concert would actually start at 7:20 despite what the ticket says. resrtictions on the ticket, "no backpacks, coolers or bags. use of cameras or video recording devices and the carrying of weapons or glass/metal containers are prohibited. all articles are subject to search."

and maybe the storm was related to the tornado?

arent those standard concert restrictions? do you pay attention to them any other time?

Posted by: rachelle at September 24, 2003 8:17 AM

that is a valid point.

oh, and i'm not sure how they will close the park either, but they are forcing people to enter at 72nd on the east or west side. maybe they will just put those fences everywhere, restrict people to areas south and north of the great lawn, and station cops at certain places.
