happy birthday amy
today is amy's birthday. woo! i should stop with these birthday things. who reads them? and if i forget, then i'm probably in big trouble, right? anyway...also born today were david souter, rita rudner, and vinnie from naughty by nature. the late john ritter was also born today. he would have been 55. what a tragedy.
also today was my favorite civil war battle, the battle of antietam. it still is the bloodiest day in u.s. military history, with 23,100 people killed or injured. man, this post has turned morbid.
see what else happened on september 17th. perhaps there will be pictures of a birthday celebration later.

Tien, I had no idea you had a favorite civil war battle! I'd have to vote for Chancellorsville, VA myself but Antietam is a good one.

yep, a fan of antietam ever since the 5th grade. i did a paper on it. i even visited the battle site.
