american splendor

POST #    367

last night, i went to go see american splendor, a biopic about the life of harvey pekar. the movie follows about 30 years of the autobiographical comic book writer's life, which has many downs and a couple of ups. directors shari springer berman and robert pulcini filmed the movie in a very unique way and i encourage everyone to check it out. it's hard to get into without actually telling you how it was filmed, but gothamist did a pretty good summary of it about a month ago. paul giamatti was also perfect for the role. he seems to do the angry/disgruntled guy very very well. it's in limited release right now, but check out the website for more info.
