velcro? why isn't it used anymore?
sure it's not the coolest thing to have on shoes, but there are times when velcro makes sense. for example, i'm walking around and one shoe comes untied, i tie it, and not 20 steps later, it's untied again. would this problem not be solved with the use of velcro? i guess i could just wear shoes that don't have shoelaces, but where is the fun in that.
oh what i would do for a pair of 'roos from back in the day. they sell them again now, but it's just not the same.

tien - try double-tying the shoelaces. it's good for the soul. :)
also, check these shoes that i own: http://store4.yimg.com/I/amazin-grace_1748_96841597 no laces! (yes, i know they're somewhat geriatric...)

yikes, i think somewhat is an understatement. they do look comfy though.
and i think double knotting is a pain when i need to take my shoes off. granted, i usually just slip them off. i swear, i've double knotted my boots at times and they sometimes come untied.
