say it loud! i'm b(l)ack and i'm proud

POST #    133

so i'm back in new york after a week in chicago. its good to be home. we left yesterday at about 2 pm after the union guys finally put our booth onto the flatbed. 10 hours later, we were somewhere in pennsylvania and then sometime around 4 today, we were back at our factory.

it seems that the show went pretty well for us. i think we had about 145 people come by and request more information about us and our products. there were also a lot of people that came by and said "what is this?"

so chicago is nicer than i had expected. you know, being a new yorker and everything, i think new york is superior and everything else is second fiddle. while i still think new york is nicer, i came away with a pretty good impression of chicago. i dont know if i could deal with the weather though. it was brutal when i first got there.

while in chicago, i didnt get to go to a cubs game or take the architecture boat tour (it starts in early may), but i did eat a lot. there was that pizza incident that i mentioned before, a trip to the cheesecake factory, and then a lot of chinese food...but i think the eating highlight was weber grill where i had a 22 oz t-bone.

friday night, i met up with a college buddy of mine. i went over to his apartment in lincoln park which was nice and quite large. makes my apartment seem very very small right now. we then went out with some of his friends to this place called the apartment which was pretty interesting.

also on friday night, i met miss michigan who knew one of my friend's friends. she seemed pretty nice and down to earth. apparently the bachelors of science in architecture that she has is from the university of michigan. didnt really get to talk to her much though.

wow, this has been a long post. this seems like a good place to stop. coming this week...the long awaited link for the tien/audrey or audrey/tien pizza review!!
